Set in the kind of mall that's always been a home away from home for teens everywhere, The American Mall is a movie musical from the executive producers of High School Musical. It follows Ally, an aspiring singer/songwriter; Joey, a soon-to-be-famous musician supporting his ambitions by moonlighting as a janitor; and Madison, the spoiled daughter of the mall owner. When Ally shares her music with Joey, she is thrilled to find someone who can truly relate to her songs as well as her heart. Trouble looms on the horizon, though, when Madison tries to sabotage both Ally's ambitions and her mother's popular music store.
